Labre House

Once a year, the Alumni Association volunteers to sponsor a dinner at Labre House. Labre House is a non-profit organization in the Pointe that offers dinners to the homeless in the area.

CSP: Labre House, May 30th, 2017

Once again, the Alumni Association has volunteered to sponsor a dinner at Labre House. This will occur on Tuesday, the 30th of May. Labre House is a non-profit organization in Griffintown that offers dinners to the homeless in the area. We will be hosting a bar-b-q for about 130 to 150 people. The menu will consist of hamburgers, hot dogs, soft drinks and a dessert.

We will need volunteers to help set things up, cook the food and then serve it. Time slots are below. Let me know which time slots are good for you. Naturally you can assist at more than one. Note that these times are a little earlier than in former years.

#1) 1:00pm to 2:00 pm: bringing food in and getting bar-b-q's ready
#2) 2:00pm to 3:30pm: cooking of food and setting up tables, etc.
#3) 3:30pm to 5:00 pm: serving of food and cleanup.

Over the years, alumni have brought family members along. They are most welcome. We thank-you in advance for helping us out. Please contact Shag at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and let him know when you are available. Look forward to seeing you on the 30th.

DIRECTIONS: Take Peel south to Wellington. Turn right on Wellington. Go one block to Young and turn right. #308 is the place to be.

PS: Labre House also takes clothes in good condition. If you have items of clothing in good condition that you are not using, please bring them with you.
