Class of 1967 - 50th Reunion

Dear Class of '67,

We will be holding the Loyola HS Class of ’67, fiftieth reunion, over the weekend of September 22-24. We're looking at an informal pub night for those who are around on Friday night. This will take place at the newly renovated PJs Pub on St Jacques just west of Cavendish in NDG. It allows for parking, has a decent kitchen and will accommodate us with our own space.

On Saturday, there will be a golf game at a yet undisclosed course. Those few who don’t golf, weather permitting, can either go fishing or take a lunch cruise up to Ste Anne de Bellevue in Chris’ boat. That evening we will hold a dinner for Alumni and spouses.

After examining a number of venues, we have selected the Vieux-Port Steakhouse in the heart of Old Montreal. They have offered a beautiful mezzanine area for our group (40-50 persons) which will allow space to eat comfortably and to mingle. The menu options are varied and reasonable. They will set up a special menu for our group to accelerate service and can also accommodate those grads who are vegetarians.

Sunday morning there will be a brief memorial service in memory of those grads and teachers who are no longer with us. If it's a nice day, we might hold it outdoors in front of the old grotto with the original statue of Mary. It's recently been beautifully landscaped by Concordia. This would be followed by a barbecue on the terrace of the Casey Lounge in the new high school. Sunday's events would be open to family, kids and grandkids.

We'll keep you up to date as things develop. If you’re coming, be sure to send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. A brief bio would be appreciated. If you are still in touch with any other '67 grads let us know and spread the word. Much of our contact information is out of date as many emails have changed with career moves. We will be sending out emails as details and participants are confirmed. Please do let us know asap if you will be attending so we can confirm the venues.

At present, the committee includes: Chris Phelan, Bert Tougas, Mark Daly, John Van Leeuwen, Dave Lepine, (Montreal) Rick Orawiec, Brian Doyle (Ottawa), Don Del Vecchio and John Rowell (Toronto).
